How can I get started with daily dog walks or pet sitting visits?
Just give us as call. We’ll discuss our services and procedures and arrange a complimentary visit to get to know you and your pet
Will I have the same dog walker or pet sitter each time?
Every effort is made to schedule the same pet sitter/dog walker.  Should your pet sitter/dog walker request or require a day off, we will provide a well trained and highly qualified substitute pet sitter. Your regular sitter will introduce the sub to your pet and review the routine.
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes, East Bay Pet Care LLC is licensed, bonded and insured.
Do you supply a list of references?
Yes.  Please review our ‘Ruff’erence’ web page, and upon your request, we’ll get you in touch any client you’d like to speak with.
What does your service include?
All of our services include lots of love and one on one attention.  As each pet and their routine is unique, we’ll discuss your specific needs during our initial visit.
How do I make payments?
We accept payment by cash or check.  Daily dog walk payments are due at the beginning of each month and pet sitting payments are due 5 days in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
Spending quality time with your pet is our number one goal. To ensure this goal, our pet sitters and dog walkers are not overbooked. When your pet is scheduled for service, this means that we may need to turn away other requests.

Daily Dog Walk service requires a 48 hour (Monday – Friday) notice for a credit applied to the following month’s service.

Please contact us directly regarding our cancellation police for other scheduled services.
Are gratuities necessary?
No, gratuities are not necessary.  If you choose to leave a gratuity for your sitter, it will be most welcome.
Are you available for the holidays?
YES!  All of our services are available around the clock – 24/7/365.
Can you care for senior and special needs pets?
YES!  Many of our sitter have experience with senior and special needs pets.  Many are Pet First Aid Certified and comfortable and familiar with dispensing medication, (yes, even ‘pilling’ the cat) sub-q fluids and many types of injections.
What about last minute arrangements?
Absolutely!  We realize that sometimes things just come up (and there are well meaning procrastinators:).  We’d love to help out.
Will I meet the sitter?
YES!  When we arrange our initial visit, “Top Dog” Beverly and your sitter will attend this visit and thoroughly review your routine and needs of your pet.
How do you screen, hire and train your pet sitters / dog walkers?
We put each candidate through a specialized evaluation process to include dealing with temperament, integrity, experience, good judgment, trustworthiness and suitability.   Service levels are continually monitored.  You can be sure our service providers are dedicated, have an excellent work ethic and have been carefully screened and are the best of the best.
How do I handle the key?
During our initial visit, we ask that you have two keys ready for our pick up.  One key will go to your sitter; the other will be coded and secure in our office. 
How many dogs do you walk at a time?
We care for one pet (household) at a time.  It’s up to you.  Some households with more than one dog prefer an individual walk, for others, walking multiples is preferred.  Safety is our number one concern and the procedure is determined during our initial visit
How do you handle emergencies?
Your pets’ safety is paramount.  We will review this in detail during our initial visit.  We have your pets’ personal veterinary information handy and should an emergency arise, we will contact you immediately while making sure your pet is safe, comfortable and getting the attention they need.  Also, most of our pet sitters are Pet First Aid Certified and can assess and provide palliative treatment should that be required.  We also have earthquake, fire, flood etc plans in place as well. 
What should I do when I can't get back when scheduled?
Please call our office as soon as you realize you will be delayed.  We’ll be happy to adjust your schedule and continue the care of your pets.
What do I need to do when I get home?
We ask that you give us a quick call and let us know you’ve returned safe and sound.  This lets us know that your pets are back in your care.  You are welcome to call 24 hours a day.
